This will teach you all the basics of using Proboards. Although many of you will be familiar with message boards, you may not be familiar with Proboards. If you know how to use PB already, you may skip this thread ;D This is not how to use the RPG. There are threads explaining how to play the RPG here. Table of ContentsPost One: How to Post etc. Post Two: Signatures, PMs and Avatars etc. Post Three: Links of Interest Post One: How To PostOk, so.. posting. First, here are a few terms that I'm going to use: Forum = The whole site as a whole Board = Within the forum, there are boards with specific purposes/topics Thread = A certain discussion page within a board. Post = A message 'posted' within a board. Right. Now we know the terms, here's how to post: Posting a New Topic: When you get to a certain board, you will see a 'new thread' at the top. Click this to start a new thread. Posting within an exisiting topic: When in a board, click a thread to view it. Once you've read as much as you want to, there is a 'reply' button at the top. Click this to add a reply. Editing a post: If you've forgotten something, or spotted a blatant error in your post, click the edit button in the top right corner of your post to change it. It is against the rules to double post.

Post Two: Signatures, PMs and Avatars, etc.
Signatures are images/text that appears at the foot of ALL your posts, even private messages (see below). To edit yours, go to Profile (at the very top of the page), and scroll down to the 'Signature' field.
PMs = Private Messages. These are messages that you can send to other members that no-one else will see except it's intended reciptent, even admins. To send a member a private message, click on their name to go to their profile, then click 'Send this Member a Private Message'.
Avatars: Are an image that appears to the side of all of your posts. To get an avatar, again, go to your profile (top of the page) and scroll down to the avatar field. You can choose one of our existing avatars, or link to your own. Avatars can only be 100x100 pixels.
